I treat everyone equally and with respect regardless of test outcome
No "trick" questions and I don't expect perfection
Check rides follow the Airmen Certification Standards
I only charge what I'd expect to make in a day as an experienced contract pilot
Fees: My base fee is $1000 for any checkride. My policy is to discount half of the base fee for a re-test or continuance of checkride within 60 days of the initial test, unless the letter of discontinuance or notice of disapproval is coming from another examiner, then the full fee applies. If the checkride is being conducted outside of Iowa, there is an additional $400 travel fee per appointment. Each checkride, re-test, or continuation of a discontinued checkride is a separate appointment. There is a $300 fee for check rides that cannot start due to missing requirements or incomplete application.
Payment: I will only accept the full fee after determining that you and the aircraft are qualified to take the test. Once I accept a fee it is not refundable. Payment is due before the test begins. I will only accept payment directly from the applicant. Cash, Cashiers Check, and Personal checks are accepted. If your check does not clear your flight instructor or flight school will be invoiced. I am not accepting electronic payments at this time.
